In November 1988, Dr. Ivker self-published the first edition of Sinus Survival. It was his intention to inform millions of sinus sufferers that he cured his own chronic sinusitis, and that they too could heal themselves of the plague of sinus disease.

After selling 40,000 copies on his own, the second (1992), third (1995), and fourth (2000) editions were published by Tarcher/Putnam/Penguin. The book has exceeded 400,000 copies in sales. The fifth edition of Sinus Survival has been completed and is currently in the publication process. It should be available late in 2010.
